Dear Shelly:
When I graduated from
college I felt overwhelmed by the current economy and the
pessimistic views of many of my classmates regarding the job
searching process. I felt insecure about my resume, which I
knew would be the first step to finding the right job. I had
asked several people to review it in school, but the comments I
received seemed very superficial and I felt I needed professional
advice. After making several inquiries, a friend referred me
to
Bill Kinser. I looked at his
credentials posted on his website and I was impressed, and after
talking to him on the phone I was convinced that I was making the
right decision by asking him to help me improve my resume. I
sent him my existing resume and in a matter of days he contacted
me with a series of questions regarding both my education and
professional experiences.
After Bill was
finished polishing my resume, I started to send it over the
Internet to several companies that were currently hiring.
The response was better than I expected. In a matter of days
I had a series of interviews lined up. Bill was always open
and available for any concerns or questions I had, resulting in an
excellent working relationship and a resume that I could finally
feel confident about.
Since I had had such a
positive result working with Bill I decided to inquire about
coaching for interviews. English is my second language and I
wanted to be able to get my ideas across in a concise and direct
manner. Furthermore, I felt that in this competitive market
I really needed to make an impact on the interview in order to get
the job. It was because of this that Bill referred me to
Shelly Goldman. I can honestly say that Shelly went out
of her way to make the whole process an enjoyable, yet
professional experience.
After only one session
with Shelly I was already feeling more secure about myself, but
more importantly my ideas and goals were beginning to take more
shape so that I could express them with more ease. We
reviewed several topics, always concentrating in my individual
needs. As such, I knew she was taking great interest, as
well as investing her time and effort into satisfying the
exceeding my expectations. Shelly has become more than my
coach by being there for me every time I fell that I need advise.
Our relationship grew due to her commitment and the trust that I
was able to invest in her from the very first moment I met her.
Thanks to Bill's work
and Shelly's guidance I have received several offers. Every
job I have interviewed for has extended an offer to me. I
have turned down some of these offers because I now feel that I
can definitely find the job that I want, that I do not have to
settle for what comes along. Shelly helped me identify my
strengths and what I have to offer to an organization; therefore,
I can look for a company that will both benefit from my skills and
at the same time, offer me what I am truly interested in.
